New Scientist Magazine on CO2 formation

I find this interesting and will probably want to read the full article when it's released (it's dated for March 22nd, and today is the 20th).  I think it's important to note that they aren't denying Global 'warming', nor do I.  I'm just tired of the unfounded claims that implicate us as the cause by conjecture, not by actual evidence.  I find it interesting that this article is from NewScientist and can't help but be curious about why now a change in story?

If you don't know, my point has always been not in denying that there are drastic changes in climate, but that rather than think it's something we caused and can somehow fix, we need to worry about predicting it to be better prepared to survive it.  Trust me, when it's towards the end of March and temperatures around here are still below freezing at night, you can't convince me that we're warming, but you could convince me that temperatures are fluctuating more than they have been.  What you've never been able to convince me of is that the cause is human made carbon dioxide, when I know that more of that was released by Mt. St. Helens erupting than in the entire industrial revolution.  I'll need a better reason, thanks.

Here's a clip from their website:

Rising temperatures bring their own CO2

CLIMATE sceptics are right. Temperature increases do precede rises in atmospheric carbon dioxide - the opposite of what you would expect if changes in CO2 levels were really driving climate change. That's the verdict of leading atmospheric modeller Peter Cox, a climate expert at the University of Exeter, UK. Yet far from dismissing the threat of global warming, Cox says this means things are worse than we thought. Events in the Little Ice Age, 400 years ago, prove the point, he says.

One of the most important pieces of evidence linking climate change to greenhouse gas emissions is that for tens of thousands of years, temperature changes have been in lockstep with atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide. But sceptics keep pointing out that temperature changes seem to come first.

That charge is true, says Cox. "In climate predictions, we have been in denial about how temperature changes CO2." "

Rich Politicians don't know me.

As the political race heats up and Clinton and Obama brag about how much money they're pulling in , I thought it was time to look thru some of the financial records, confusing as they are.  What I found didn't really surprise me, but it did further wake me up to a reality- that this is just a game that rich people play.  For crying out loud- when Bill Clinton earns $200,000 to give a speech I don't really think he can say he feels my pain.  When him and Hillary share that, I can't say she feels my pain either.  In fact, I think that the more these people don't have to worry about money, the more they think that social programs are a good idea because they don't really know.

I say make any of these candidates spend a year on a strict allowance of $40,000 taxed at 35% and see how their minds change about Socialized Medicine.  See how their minds change about spending trillions on foreign policy.  See how little they care about 'Global Climate Change' and more about what it's going to be like when gas gets to be $8/gallon and they have to commute 30 miles for work.

Alaskan villiage sues everyone over Global Warming

See, I thought we were supposed to call it "Global Climate Change" now, but apparently they didn't get the memo way up there in 'Nobody Cares About You' Alaska.

So, they are SUING a large group of energy companies, claiming it will take $400 million to move their village... of 390 people.

You do the math.  Algore has created a cash cow and I'm wondering how I can exploit it too!
